Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and we believe that every single moment should be treasured, adored and remembered - from the very beginning. That's why we enlisted our friends at The Happy Bloom to help us bring the Morning Of to life with this dreamy editorial in Savannah Soiree Volume 1.

"There is not a time more precious than the early morning moments on a woman’s wedding day. Everything is quiet. Everything is still. Everything is calm. Those moments before the storm, they are everything.

We truly wanted to incorporate European influence into this shoot and we discovered the most romantic way to do this. Traditionally, Dutch grooms knocked on the door of their bride on the morning of their wedding day to present them with their bouquet. And here they would see their bride. Yes, the very beginning of what we now know in the states as a 'first look'." - Justin & Amanda, Photographers

From Stylist Tristan NeedhamWhen Justin came to me about designing and styling a shoot of a bride on the morning of her wedding, I was immediately interested. We wanted to capture it all: morning sunlight, quiet reflective moments, all of the beautiful elements that you dress yourself in before you even slip into your gown.

Texas Wedding Photographer | White Sparrow Barn | Southern Weddings Magazine Editorial

Today we’re sharing a colorful citrus inspiration shoot, set deep in the heart of Texas!

What makes Texas so great is its blend of Southern tradition and Mexican influence. Rustic white barns meet stucco and citrus, colliding to make a beauty that no other location can duplicate. While some wedding trends are leaning further and further into the neutral color palette of greens and creams, these two cultures still embrace color, vitality and life… no matter the trend or season!

Our couple’s wedding day was filled with pops of fresh citrus, locally grown tomatillos and Claire’s favorite flower, the poppy. Their love of European culture and modernism can be seen in their minimal paper goods and clean, fresh tablescape. We loved playing the balancing game of Southern tradition meets Mexican influence meets European modernism. The location is obviously innately Southern. We loved the way that the bride’s modern two piece dress compliments the beautiful white barn. The pops of citrus keep the shoot feeling alive and fresh but not oversaturated.

From Southern Weddings Magazine:

“You’re the barb on my wire / The spark in my campfire / There’s no brighter star in all the multiplexes. / I love this state, you know I do / But the best thing in this state is you.” Slaid Cleaves sung it right in his “Texas Love Song,” inspiring The Happy Bloom and Tristan Needham to marry true love and color at The White Sparrow. This team is eager to see couples embrace color at their weddings, and I love that they didn’t just wish it – they’re sharing with us a way to do it beautifully, one that feels authentic to the Hispanic and Texan cultures they were inspired by.

A well-laid table and floral decoration, soft music and men in twine – this shooting makes clear that love and not the gender is all that counts.

Bright eyes and a sparkling smile, nervous hands and soft lips: classy weddings can – without a doubt – even make men´s hearts leap for joy…

There are only a few perfect inspirations for same-sex weddings like this by stylist Andrea Harper of Gray Harper Event Maker. Even for her it was a matter of the heart to create these inspirations as she revealed: I have been longing to do a same-sex wedding shoot highlighting masculine details and soft southern romantic touches for quite some time now, so when the opportunity to create a styled shoot presented itself we jumped at it!

With the photographers Justin and Amanda of The Happy Bloom the talented stylist added two more wonderful artists to her dedicated team who impress with sense for beauty and sure instinct for fine art. Here they let us sneak a peek into their overwhelming gallery of pictures. Enjoy!

The team was all about aesthetic elegance and unseen details combining different styles harmonically. Additionally, the stunning flower arrangements made by stylist Andrea ran like a golden thread through her great concept and gave some freshness to the scenery.

The tablescape had to be all things, modern, classic and also a little bit romance. We also wanted to work with a color palette you don’t see often in same-sex shoots and I think the metallics, grays, and pops of dark purple worked out perfectly and also matched the venue nicely! Leather was another element we wanted incorporated throughout – the leather bowties and leather bound guest book were all meant to be. And to top it all off the grooms suits really tied the entire look together.

Georgia Film Photographer | Downtown Savannah Engagement | Emily and Liam

What better way to celebrate your love than a Spring engagement session on historic Jones Street in Savannah, Georgia! Emily and Liam could not have picked a better time for their photos. The weather was warm. The leaves were green.
And everything was in bloom!

Emily and Liam truly wanted to capture the essence of their engagement: "We're at such an exciting point in our lives with so much ahead of us. We're blessed with an incredible group of family and friends, live in an exciting city, and are both just starting out in our careers. We want to remember the sense of anticipation that we have for the future and can't wait to see what's in store." - Emily

It's crazy to think that these two have been together for EIGHT YEARS: "Liam and I actually met at junior prom in high school. We saw each other around for the next two years but didn't start dating until the summer before college. We went to UVA together (go Hoos!) and Liam moved to Austin while I was in grad school. We then both moved to New York in 2014 and have been here since. We've been together for almost 8 years." - Emily

Here's a peek at their sunny Savannah engagement session!
