Meg & Eric decided on a traditional Catholic ceremony for their big day here in Savannah, Georgia. With a ceremony at Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and reception at nearby Savannah Hilton Desoto, this wedding day was built to be beautiful! Donned in Navy, Meg’s girls carried fresh white peonies and roses with blushy taupe ribbon. The boys went with a classic tux, suspenders and a bowtie. This wedding party was dressed to impress!
Keeping in line with their traditional values, Meg and Eric opted out of a first look allowing the groom to see his bride for the first time as she walked down the incredible aisle of the Cathedral. The sun had just set while the couple said “I do”. With the whole wedding party behind us, we rushed out to the front stone steps for a fun and exciting round of portraits before the night took over!
From the Groom… We met at our crossfit gym, CFNA. I had just moved here from Ohio after my college graduation for Chiropractic School. I got a part time job at the gym to make a little money while in school. My first day at the gym, I was was standing at the front of the gym and saw Meg carrying/ corralling 5 small kids very easily and I was immediately interested. My first words to her were, “You’re going to make a great mother some day.” Little did I know how much that comment would resound with Meg, but she has since told me how much it did. From there, we slowly got to know each other through our training at CFNA and we both knew we wanted to get to know each other better. So when the appropriate time came, I asked Meg on a date and the rest is history!
