We are so excited to finally share these photos taken at Charleston's beautiful venue, Boone Hall Plantation. With its Southern charm and European flair, we knew that this venue was the perfect location for our Grace-themed editorial.
Grace can be defined in many ways. The simple definition is simple elegance or refinement. But where you are in your life, your age, your country, your city, those can all affect your idea of grace. Here in the South grace can be synonymous with genuineness, hospitality, the tilt of a person’s chin or the calmness in their walk. There is a type of southern grace that is simple, clean and quiet. No roaring wind. No loud orchestra. No marching band. Just a quiet softness that fills the air.
And in those moments, grace is found.
We built this shoot around how grace appears to us. What color would grace be? How would grace feel? How would grace taste? How does grace translate into florals? Into a cake? A car? A dress? The answers to these questions were quite the challenge. But with careful decision making, we ensured that every element of this shoot embodied the ideal of Southern grace.
A giant thanks to the girls at Design Studio South for pulling this beautiful shoot together! We couldn't have done it without you! XOXO!
